Agents Touch Lives: Touching Story of How A Woman Was Able to Rebuild Her Life After Losing Everything

It’s easy to forget sometimes how important your job really is to the people you serve. As an independent agent, sometimes you’re able to go above and beyond for your clients in a way that the big boys can’t. What you do is important!

Here’s a touching story of a woman in Joplin, Missouri who was able to rebuild her life with the help of her independent insurance agent. Tracy Cope was known in her community as the woman with the purple porch. She lived in her house all her life and when the devastating tornado ripped through Joplin she was left with nothing. Listen to Tracy talk about her Trusted Choice independent insurance agent and how quickly she was able to begin to put her life back together — purple porch and all.

We have big news: Universal Insurance Group is now UIG!

Hello Friends!

That’s right, we abbreviated it. We’ve also created a new brand, a new look, a new website, and a new tagline: The Agent Agency.

We are The Agent Agency because we’re responsive to all your needs: quoting fast, responding fast, even typing fast. We’re committed to being your most valuable partner for standard and hard-to-place coverage, and your number one source for insurance questions and news.

Here’s how this change helps you:

  1. UIG has always been an information source for agents. And now we’re going to be a more accessible information source with our new, information-packed website. Check it out at www.uigusa.com.
  2. The more you know, the better you can serve your clients. Which is why we’ll be regularly updating our site and social feeds with new programs, upcoming dates and regulations, and timely coverage options.
  3. Young agents and those who feel young: we’re developing a section on the site just for you, with information on marketing, career building, and important regulations.

We’ll be adding info to our blog and a news section on the website soon. In the meantime, follow us on Facebook or Twitter to hear timely industry news and new products. And If you have any questions, or just want to say, “Attaway, UIG!”, shoot us an email or give us a call at 800.385.9978.

Best Regards,
